Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse to provide high-quality patient care on a fixed part-time basis, covering maternity leave for two days per week (Monday and Wednesdays). The successful candidate will support the dental team in delivering excellent service within a friendly and professional environment. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment within the practice
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting.
- Must be qualified and GDC registered.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good IT literacy, including familiarity with dental practice management software (SOE Exact)
- Compassionate approach to patient care with the ability to reassure nervous patients
- Effective team player with the ability to work independently when required
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations relevant to dental nursing
