We are seeking a talented and passionate junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing dishes.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality before serving.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during service times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a junior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food production and creativity in cooking.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
