Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Steel Door Technician/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing accessories/hardware onto our steel doors, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Fabricate steel doors and use assembly techniques in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure materials accurately using basic maths skills to ensure correct dimensions and fitment
- Assemble components meticulously, ensuring all parts meet quality standards before installation or delivery
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment safely
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of metal properties and fabrication methods
- Ability to read technical drawings and apply basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Experience working with steel doors or similar metal products is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and quality assurance standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £26,013.00-£40,000.00 per year
