Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook / chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in the planning and development of new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- some experience as a Cook / chef in a restaurant bistro or cafe or similar environment is preferred.
- knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as required.
