About Us
Global Tyres & Servicing Centre is a busy independent garage in Walsall, open 7 days a week. We carry out tyres, servicing, MOT preparation, brakes, suspension, wheel alignment, diagnostics and general vehicle repairs for both private and business customers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our team.
The Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, servicing vehicles and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard. This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Brake repairs and replacement
- Suspension and steering repairs
- Clutches and timing belt replacement
- MOT preparation and repair work
- Exhaust repairs and replacement
- Vehicle inspections and health checks
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Supporting other members of the workshop team when required
- Communicating clearly with management regarding vehicle faults and required repairs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years workshop experience required
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults independently
- Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to help colleagues
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop
Desirable Skills
- Diagnostic equipment experience
- Wheel alignment experience
- Tyre fitting experience
