MOT Tester – Kings Langley
Salary: £45,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 18:00 (1-hour lunch)

About the Role
Japex is looking for a skilled and motivated MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our growing team at our well-established, family-run garage in Kings Langley. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional, friendly workshop where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are at the heart of what we do. The successful candidate will carry out MOT testing in line with legal requirements and industry standards. Following the completion of MOTs, and where required, they will also undertake servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Carry out quality inspection controls to ensure compliance and safety
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and MOT preparation
- Complete records of inspections, tests, and repairs accurately
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

What We’re Looking For
- Valid MOT Tester qualification
- Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Professional, reliable, and positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- A team player with a willingness to learn and grow
- Full UK driving licence
