SearchWorks Construction is working with an established construction consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major healthcare projects.
The successful candidate will provide full pre- and post-contract cost management services, working closely with clients, contractors and the wider project team.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
- Managing procurement and contractor appointments
- Providing contract administration and commercial advice
- Assessing valuations, variations and compensation events
- Monitoring project costs, risks and forecasts
- Preparing financial reports and agreeing final accounts
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
What we’re looking for:
- Strong consultancy or client-side quantity surveying experience
- Experience managing projects from pre-contract through to final account
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Healthcare or hospital project experience is desirable
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
- A relevant quantity surveying degree, with MRICS or progress towards chartership advantageous
