Duties
- Assist delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and securing packages in the van to ensure safe transportation.
- Support the driver in navigating routes efficiently and safely to meet delivery schedules.
- Help verify delivery addresses, gather signatures, and ensure proper documentation for each shipment.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van and work area throughout your shift.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, heavy lifting, and preparing packages for dispatch.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification is a plus.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles or vans is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and customers.
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for handling inventory and managing logistics.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude toward safety standards.
