Experienced Dental Receptionist
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team at our busy mixed NHS and private dental practice.
Due to recent expansion, we are looking to recruit a fourth receptionist to support our growing team and patient base. Our practice has recently undergone extensive renovation and modernisation works, and we are now entering the final phases of this exciting project.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 5:15pm
- 45-minute lunch break
- Occasional optional weekend work available
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming telephone calls and emails professionally and efficiently
- Providing outstanding customer service to patients both in person and over the phone
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Confidently discussing dental services and treatments with patients
- Processing payments and handling cash
- Daily cashing up and reconciliation procedures
- General reception and administrative duties
- Using Microsoft Office applications as part of day-to-day practice administration
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience handling payments and cash reconciliation
Desirable Requirements
- Experience using Dentally practice management software
- Understanding of NHS dental procedures and policies
- Knowledge of NHS dental regulations and patient pathways
