Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of presentation
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience
- Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently for new guests
- Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times during service
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper serving procedures
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Knowledge of food preparation or culinary practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Willingness to upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
