Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional part time Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will predominantly work alongside our Hygienists and provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and on occasion manage front desk responsibilities. Duties
- Assist Hygienist during routine visits, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and provide clear instructions regarding their treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, processing payments, and managing correspondence
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Support infection control protocols to uphold hygiene standards within the practice
- Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse within a dental setting is essential
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental healthcare is essential.
