The Role: We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Caseworker to join our central team, reporting directly to the Employee Relations Manager. In this role, you will manage a varied portfolio of HR cases with considerable autonomy, covering areas such as long-term sickness, conduct, discipline, and grievances.
You will act as a trusted advisor, coaching managers across our academies to improve their confidence and competence in handling complex HR matters. Your daily responsibilities will also include assessing and communicating case risks, preparing documentation for formal hearings, and ensuring that all cases reach a timely, appropriate conclusion in line with employment law and best practice. Highly complex or high-risk cases will be escalated to the Employee Relations Manager.

About You:
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent HR experience and willing to work towards)
A proven track record of managing a range of complex HR cases, juggling multiple priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
Previous experience within the education sector or a multi-academy trust is highly desirable, but not essential.
