Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive first aid training sessions tailored to diverse audiences, including workplace teams, community groups, and educational institutions
- Develop and update training materials to ensure content remains current with best practices and regulatory standards
- Assess participants’ skills through practical demonstrations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their proficiency
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and certification status
- Communicate complex medical procedures clearly and confidently, ensuring all learners understand key concepts
- Collaborate with organizations to customize training programs that meet specific safety requirements
- Stay informed about the latest first aid guidelines, certifications, and industry developments to continuously improve training quality
Experience
- · L3 Teaching & Assessing qualification or equivalent
· L3 FAW regulated qualification - or equivalent qualification - not applicable if a Registered Nurse/paramedic - (for delivering First Aid qualifications only)
· Training log of first aid courses run (if applicable). A min of 6 sessions leading a first aid course
· CV showing sector and other experience
Fluency in English with excellent communication skills for effective instruction and engagement
- Prior experience in teaching or training roles, especially in health or safety-related fields
- Knowledge of basic plumbing concepts is a plus, as it enhances understanding of emergency procedures involving water or sanitation issues
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple training sessions and administrative tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with IT tools for creating presentations, tracking attendance, and managing digital records
- Demonstrated ability to convey technical information clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
