Overview
We are offering an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join as a Labourer / Trainee Poultry House Builder on a self-employed basis. This role provides hands-on experience in poultry housing construction, with the potential to develop a broad range of building skills. Duties
- Assisting with the construction and assembly of poultry houses, including framing, roofing, and cladding
- Operating various hand tools and power tools safely
- Preparing work sites by organising materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Supporting the installation of ventilation systems, doors, windows, and other poultry house components
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout projects
- Learning and applying trade skills under supervision to develop expertise in poultry house construction
Requirements
- Basic understanding or interest in construction
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake physical labour tasks
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
- Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is beneficial for site access
