Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our OUTSTANDING team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical growth through personalised care and guidance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Observe, record, and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
- Lead small group activities to encourage learning through play and exploration
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that meet individual needs
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster positive relationships
- Supervise children during outdoor play, meals, rest times, and outings such as trips or excursions
- Manage behavioural issues with patience and professionalism, promoting positive behaviour strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or home visits
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
- Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and learning
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the childcare setting

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
