Bon Bon's (Wholesale) Ltd are the UK's premier hand packers of Traditional and Gourmet confectionery. Based at Moorside Business Park Tockwith we supply many of the best independent retailers and tourist attractions throughout the country with tempting and irresistible confectionery. We can now manufacture and hand make our own chocolate creations.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday - 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, including a 30 minute unpaid break
Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, no break
39 hours per week
Job Overview:
To ensure the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming goods, including raw materials, packaging, and finished products, in line with company quality standards and food safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive in deliveries of bulk stock, packaging or finished products from suppliers.
- Accurately record all receipts using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, scanners, or manual documentation as required.
- Escalating to managers / buyers should there be concern the delivery condition is poor or potential for product to be damaged.
- Ensure all goods are correctly labelled, batch-coded, and traceable in line with food safety standards.
- Safely unload deliveries using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts where authorised and licensed.
- Store stock in designated areas, following FIFO (First In, First Out) and stock rotation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with HACCP, SALSA and food safety regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding delivery and /or issues.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support stock investigations, cycle counts, and periodic inventory checks
- Ensure compliance with health & safety policies at all times
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support business operational requirements.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods in role would be ideal (preferably within food or FMCG industry).
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, hygiene practices) however business specific training will be provided.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience using warehouse systems or scanners would be ideal.
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential, training can be provided after probationary period).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
