Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of machinery and equipment through comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. Your expertise will help maintain safety standards, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous production processes. Building machine heads prior to production taking place. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical gearboxes, bearings, clutches and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Supervise junior technicians or apprentices, providing guidance and support during maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime by scheduling maintenance during planned outages or low-impact periods.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- electrical experience advantages combined with mechanical knowledge to handle diverse maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills in English to facilitate clear reporting and teamwork.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Pay: £33,078.24 per year
