Painting & Decorating Improver / Decorators Mate – Immediate Start
£130–£160 per day (depending on experience)
Liddard Decorators Ltd is looking for a reliable Painting & Decorating Improver / Decorators Mate to join our growing team on a self-employed CIS basis.
We carry out commercial, planned maintenance and residential block decorating projects across North London, Hertfordshire and Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills while working alongside experienced decorators on larger commercial projects.
The Role
This is not a general labouring position. We’re looking for someone with some decorating experience who understands the importance of good preparation, attention to detail and keeping a site organised.
Duties Include
- Filling and making good
- Sanding and preparation work
- Caulking and sealing
- Scraping and removing defective coatings
- Masking and protecting surfaces
- Sheeting up work areas
- Assisting decorators on commercial and residential block projects
- Material handling and site organisation
- General decorating support
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (essential)
- UTR Number (self-employed/CIS)
- Previous painting and decorating experience
- Own basic decorating tools preferred
- Own transport preferred (full UK driving licence desirable)
- Comfortable working at height
- Reliable, hardworking and professional
- Good attention to detail
- Willing to learn and progress
