We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Wastewater Service Engineer to join our team.
We need someone who can start immediately on a temporary basis to provide sickness cover, with the possibility of moving into a permanent full-time position if interested. We are also welcoming applications from candidates seeking a full-time role from the outset.
You will assist with servicing and repair work on systems within sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
As a mobile engineer with a clean licence, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle which serves both domestic and industrial premises throughout the counties of Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and West Kent. Candidates are expected to be in good health and have a good level of fitness.
Ideally having a good geographical knowledge of the South East, and starting your day from the Surrey base which is located just outside Godalming or home where agreed; your main responsibilities will be: -
- To drive a Company vehicle in a safe and proper manner in accordance with Company Policies, procedures and legislation.
- To carry out servicing and repair work as required
- To ensure the Company vehicle is fully stocked daily with standard parts and equipment.
- To use a smart phone/tablet, text and email, to keep Managers and Clients up to date with daily progress
- Carrying out weekly vehicle checks
- Providing a professional, safe and fuel-efficient driving service.
- After each location visit, complete all related paperwork.
You will be able to understand and manage related paperwork and possess the ability to keep in regular contact by way of smart phone, text and emails. You will importantly have: -
- Good knowledge on sewage treatment systems
- A polite and courteous manner
- Good communication skills
- The ability to use a smart phone/tablet (text and email)
- A good level of health and fitness
- The ability to self-manage and use initiative for solving problems.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17:00.
