Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Timber Furniture Maker to join our team. Prior experience is required in furniture manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the fabrication and assembly of timber furniture
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Cutting, shaping, and joining wood materials according to specifications
- Supporting the team in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment
- Learning and applying joinery techniques to produce durable furniture pieces
- Assisting with finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, or painting as required
- Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times during production processes
Skills
- A good understanding of hand tools and power tools used in woodworking
- Good experience using a belt sander
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling timber or furniture components
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness suitable for manual work in a workshop setting
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
