Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in using hand and power tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, MOT servicing and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models including 4x4 and vans. Various types equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Ability to work to deadlines and rich the targets.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues through observation and testing of machinery.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients effectively.
- A relevant qualification or certification in mechanics or engineering is preferred but not essential.
