Premises and Transport Assistant - Tonbridge, Kent

Job Purpose
We're currently seeking a Premises and Transport Assistant to help maintain a safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained school environment. You will only be required to drive the minibus on a weekly basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of the school buildings and grounds while also providing safe and reliable transport for students by driving the school bus.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with a proactive approach to site maintenance, excellent organisational skills, and a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

Essential Criteria
Knowledge & Skills
- Awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to lead in the absence of the Premises Manager and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of quality and customer care.
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a busy school environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Full UK driving licence.
Personal Qualities
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Ability to prioritise workload and delegate tasks where appropriate.
Desirable
- First Aid qualification.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical work, and general DIY.
- PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence (training can be provided if required).
Please note: This job description may be amended following discussion between the Headteacher and the post holder to reflect the changing needs and priorities of the school. It will be reviewed annually.
Pay: £24,660.00-£26,500.00 per year
