Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiter-Waitress/Barstaff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in our busy establishment. Previous experience in a pub or hospitality setting is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve drinks at the bar and tables with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining and bar areas
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any issues courteously
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards guests
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and sales
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- A proactive approach to guest services with a focus on creating a welcoming environment
