Two established, highly rated dental practices - Tower Dental in Blackpool (fully private, 5.0 on Google) and Station House Dental Care in Barnoldswick (mixed NHS/private, 4.9 from 360+ Google reviews) - are looking for one experienced manager to run both.
This is a self-employed engagement paying £35,000 to £45,000 a year depending on experience. You'll split your working week between the two sites (about an hour apart by car), flexing your time to where the work is.
What you'll own:
- Leading the teams at both sites: recruitment, rotas, appraisals, day-to-day support and performance management
- Driving the business: diary utilisation, treatment plan uptake, private revenue growth, patient retention and reviews, KPI reporting to the principal
- Compliance at both sites: CQC readiness, GDC standards, infection prevention and control, information governance and UK GDPR, safeguarding, audits, policy reviews and complaints handling
- Day-to-day operations: suppliers, equipment servicing, lab work, reconciliation and reporting
You must have:
- Proven experience managing a dental practice (or a comparable CQC-regulated healthcare setting)
- A track record of leading teams and measurably growing a business
- Strong working knowledge of CQC compliance for dental services
- The ability to travel between the Blackpool and Barnoldswick sites each week
Nice to have:
- Experience managing two or more sites
- Experience with Dentally practice management software (both practices run it)
- Experience across both NHS and private dentistry
The engagement: self-employed, full-time equivalent. You invoice monthly and are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. The range quoted is the gross annual fee.
