Punjabi/Indian Kitchen assistant required.
Must be able to make roti, chapati, paratha as well as being able to do basic kitchen tasks.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Help with food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Serve meals to guests or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ensure all kitchen areas are hygienic, safe, and compliant with health regulations
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude when serving guests or supporting team members
- Willingness to learn new culinary skills and adapt to evolving kitchen needs
- Prior experience with meal preparation, food safety certifications, or culinary training is a plus
