Reach and Counterbalance FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Luton
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary until January 2027
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Swyft Home is looking for an experienced Reach and Counterbalance FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team.
This is a mixed role involving forklift driving and manual warehouse duties. Applicants must be willing and physically able to complete manual work throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating Reach and Counterbalance forklift trucks
- Loading and unloading vehicles and containers
- Moving, stacking and retrieving stock
- Manually handling furniture and boxed products
- Picking, moving and preparing orders
- Supporting inbound and outbound warehouse operations
- Completing daily forklift safety checks
- Reporting damage, defects and safety concerns
- Keeping warehouse and loading areas clean and organised
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid Reach and Counterbalance FLT licences
- Previous forklift and warehouse experience
- Comfortable undertaking regular manual handling duties
- Physically capable of moving large and heavy boxed products safely
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety
- Flexible approach to warehouse duties
