We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take their drink orders with attentiveness and professionalism
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and safety standards
- Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout the shift
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and upcoming events to assist guests effectively
- Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing duties at the end of each shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments, preferably within a restaurant or bar setting
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during peak times
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately and giving correct change
- Effective time management to prioritise tasks and ensure prompt service
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of current licensing laws related to alcohol service is advantageous
