Job Title: Stock Controller
Pay: £14.00 per hour Hours: 39 hours per week
About Us
NetXL is a leading distributor of IT, networking, and communication hardware. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier equipment and exceptional service to our clients. Because we handle high-value technical equipment, absolute precision in our inventory is non-negotiable. Our warehouse needs to be a well-oiled machine, and that starts the moment stock enters our building.
The Role
We are looking for a highly accurate and methodical Stock Controller to take ownership of our incoming inventory. You will be the gatekeeper of our stock, ensuring that every single delivery is checked, logged, and put away perfectly. Because our inventory relies on precise tracking, exceptional numeracy skills and attention to detail are absolute requirements for this role.
While your primary focus will be on Goods In and inventory management, we operate as a team. You will also be fully cross-trained in picking and packing to act as a vital backup during peak order periods.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Goods In: Receiving and meticulously checking all incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
- Serial Number Logging: Accurately scanning and recording the individual serial number for every single unit that enters the warehouse.
- Put-Away: Safely, logically, and accurately putting away stock into designated warehouse locations.
- Stock Counting: Conducting highly accurate, regular cycle counts and full stock takes to ensure 100% inventory accuracy. Investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Cross-Training & Backup: Learning our picking and packing processes to step in and fulfill customer orders efficiently when the dispatch team needs support.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the Goods In and stock areas tidy, organized, and safe at all times.
Who We Are Looking For
Handling high volumes of technical hardware requires a sharp mind. We don’t just want someone to clock in and out; we are looking for a driven, highly focused individual who thrives on accuracy.
- You MUST be exceptionally good with numbers. If you easily spot anomalies and double-check your work by nature, you will succeed here.
- You are highly methodical and do not cut corners, even when under pressure.
- You are a flexible team player, happy to step away from the loading bay to help pick and pack when the team needs you.
- You operate with a sense of urgency and take personal pride in maintaining a flawless inventory.
If you think the above sounds like a good fit for you, hit apply now, and we will come back quickly with instructions on how to complete the psychometric assessment.
