Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from advertising vacancies through to onboarding.
- Write engaging job adverts and promote vacancies across recruitment platforms and social media.
- Screen applications, shortlist candidates and conduct first-stage interviews.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Carry out reference checks and Right to Work verification.
- Prepare offer letters, employment contracts and onboarding documentation.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future recruitment needs.
- Develop relationships with recruitment agencies, colleges and local employment organisations.
Human Resources
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate new starter inductions and probation reviews.
- Support payroll administration by recording holidays, sickness and attendance.
- Assist managers with employee relations, absence management and performance matters.
- Prepare HR correspondence, policies and employment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and GDPR requirements.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and company culture.
Health & Safety
- Act as the company’s appointed Health & Safety Competent Person.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Health & Safety Management System.
- Maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work and health & safety documentation.
- Coordinate accident, incident and near-miss reporting and investigations.
- Carry out regular workplace inspections and safety audits.
- Organise Health & Safety training, inductions and toolbox talks.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant UK legislation.
- Liaise with external Health & Safety consultants, insurers and regulatory bodies where required.
- Promote a positive safety culture across warehouse, transport and office operations.
General Administration
- Assist with company projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support departmental managers with administrative and operational tasks.
- Contribute towards improving business processes and internal procedures.
- Represent RTT Group professionally both internally and externally.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within Human Resources, Recruitment or a similar role.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Previous experience within logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain.
- Experience using HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Experience coordinating Health & Safety compliance.
- First Aid at Work and Fire Marshal training would be advantageous.
