Leicestershire County Care Ltd has been successfully running Residential Care Homes within the Midlands area for over 10 years. We are currently seeking two Peripatetic Senior Care Assistants to join our team. Each successful candidate will be primarily based within one of three designated geographical areas, covering the homes within their allocated area. However, due to the nature of the role, flexibility to provide emergency cover across other homes may be required.
As Peripatetic Senior Care Assitatant, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will travel to different homes in the region to provide hands-on leadership and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration and Medical assistance/standards
- Allocation of staff and Home Management support
- Training the junior staff and Senior Carer’s according to their ability, qualification and appraise performance
- Documentation; Care Plans, Supervisions and Personal Checklists
- Assisting with moving and handling residents
- Maintaining Health & Safety standard & Fire Procedures
- To deal with agencies for full bed occupancy
- General supervision of residents during mealtimes; assisting residents with meals as necessary
- Support with Admissions, Discharges & Transfers
Skills/Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Medication knowledge/administration
- First Aid
- Good numeric and literacy skills
- Caring attitude
- Good communication skills
- A strong team worker
- Supportive and patient
- Reliable and punctual
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Two positions are available, each covering a designated area:
- Area 1: Loughborough, Coalville, Kirby Muxloe and Barwell - VACANT
- Area 2: Leicester, Evington, Thurnby Lodge and Thurmaston - OCCUPIED
- Area 3: Wigston, Eyres Monsell, Market Harborough and Lutterworth - VACANT
