At The Blue Lion we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. Our housekeeping team are highly skilled and are dedicated to being supportive of each other, whether you have been a part of the team for 5 years or 5 days, the goal is the same, high standards and team spirit!
You and the team are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various premises, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.
Previous experience in commercial cleaning services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for clients and staff alike.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
- Maintain organisation of cleaning supplies and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly.
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security of premises.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or requested.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes to meet organisational standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning work is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Able to commute with a reliable form of transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is desirable but not essential.
