Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to cover maternity leave. Responsibilities
- Assisting the dental team during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Providing exceptional patient care, including explaining treatments and post-care instructions
- Managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks using IT systems
- Greeting patients warmly, checking in and out, and handling enquiries professionally
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with practice policies
- Supporting the reception area by managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently
- Upholding high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and confidentiality at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or similar role within a dental setting
- Strong patient care skills with excellent communication abilities in English
- Good organisational skills to manage appointments and administrative duties effectively
- Competent IT skills for handling practice management software and electronic records
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A caring attitude with a professional approach to patient service and teamwork
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
