Fast-paced kitchen role — ideal if you’re organised, reliable and enjoy working in a busy food environment
Job description:
We’re looking for reliable and organised Cooks / Kitchen Team Members to join our team at Inflato — Stoke-on-Trent’s original giant inflatable park.
This is a hands-on kitchen role where you’ll help prepare food for our café, customers and children’s birthday parties. You’ll be responsible for keeping food service running smoothly, staying organised during busy periods, and maintaining high standards in the kitchen.
You’ll be trained across our kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, microwaves and griddle cooking. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right person.
During quieter periods, you’ll also support the wider Inflato team with other areas of the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing and cooking food orders for customers
- Preparing food for children’s birthday parties
- Plating and serving party food when required
- Working on kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, microwaves and griddles
- Preparing sandwiches and other café items
- Managing your time effectively during busy periods
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently
- Washing dishes and completing daily cleaning tasks
- Completing temperature checks and food safety checks
- Checking ingredients and monitoring stock levels
- Organising freezer and storage areas
- Boxing/unboxing food deliveries and keeping stock organised
- Supporting downstairs tills for cold drinks and confectionery when needed
- Helping other areas of Inflato during quieter periods
- Communicating clearly with team members to ensure food orders and party timings run smoothly
What we’re looking for:
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred
- Good time management skills
- Able to work quickly and stay organised during busy periods
- Strong communication skills and able to work well with the wider team
- Reliable and punctual
- High standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- Happy to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and support different areas of the business
What we’re offering:
- Minimum 15 hours per week
- Shifts typically 7.5 hours
- Usually 3–4 shifts per week depending on business needs
- Starting at minimum wage, with performance-based pay increases for strong team members

Availability:
- Weekend availability is essential
- School holiday availability is essential
