Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by maintaining a steady flow of clean dishware and assisting with light food prep as needed.
- Ensure all work areas comply with health and safety regulations by following proper sanitation procedures.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Help with restocking supplies and organizing storage areas to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen environment to uphold hygiene standards essential for food safety.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking processes.
