WINQ is a well-established architectural practice to recruit an experienced Architectural Technologist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team delivering high-quality residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK.
We are looking for a technically minded Architectural Technologist with excellent Revit skills and a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations. You’ll play a key role in taking projects from planning through to construction, producing detailed technical information and coordinating with consultants throughout the design process.
The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you’ll be responsible for preparing technical design packages, coordinating project information and ensuring designs meet current Building Regulations and planning requirements.
Working closely with Architects, Structural Engineers, M&E Consultants and Contractors, you’ll contribute to projects across all RIBA work stages while maintaining high technical standards and delivering projects on time.

Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings and construction packages using Autodesk Revit.
- Develop projects from planning approval through to technical design and construction.
- Prepare Building Regulations applications and technical submissions.
- Produce detailed construction drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Coordinate information with Structural Engineers, M&E Consultants and external specialists.
- Ensure projects comply with UK Building Regulations and current legislation.
- Attend client, consultant and site meetings where required.
- Assist with planning applications and design amendments.
- Resolve technical design issues throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate BIM models and maintain project information.
- Carry out site visits and assist during construction stages.
- Ensure drawing packages are delivered accurately and within project deadlines.
RequirementsEssential
- Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within an architectural practice.
- Excellent proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
- Experience producing technical detailing and construction packages.
- Good understanding of residential construction methods.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence or ability to commute to the office.
Desirable
- CIAT membership or working towards Chartered status.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of NBS Chorus or specification writing.
- Experience with planning applications.
- Understanding of BIM and ISO 19650 workflows.
- Experience across residential, commercial, education or healthcare sectors.
- Site inspection and contract administration experience.
