Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance and proactive loss prevention measures. Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity across the premises, ensuring safety and security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the site to identify and address potential security issues or hazards.
- Enforce access control procedures, verifying authorised personnel and visitors.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Assist with loss prevention by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or damage.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.
- Basic first aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Valid security licence or certification as per local regulations is preferred but not mandatory at application stage.
