Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated processes when applicable.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment or structures.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately diagnose issues.
- Supervise maintenance activities, coordinate with team members, and ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical circuits and components.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and PLC programming basics.
- Skilled in welding techniques for metal fabrication and repairs.
- Excellent leadership skills with supervisory experience in maintenance or facilities management.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly in English with team members and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- CSCS card required and relevant qualifications
