The Role
Be the leader who helps families stay together.
The Beacon is a dynamic, preventative service offering short, planned stays for children aged 5-17 who are on the edge of coming into care. While children stay with us, their families receive targeted outreach support, helping them rebuild stability, reconnect with strengths, and ultimately prevent the need for care.
We work hand-in-hand with the Supporting Solutions team to deliver intensive, strengths-based support. Every child has a dedicated worker from both services, ensuring a joined-up, wraparound plan that focuses on Connection, Awareness, Resilience, Empowerment and Safety.
Using our Vision Planning approach, we help children and families reconnect to a time when life felt better and take practical steps to get back there. Each child receives focused support in up to three key areas, reviewed monthly through our Stepping Away sessions to keep progress on track and prevent drift.
As our Registered Manager, youll lead a brand-new residential team providing short breaks, therapeutic support, and meaningful relationship-based care. Youll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, supported by a Deputy Manager, Service Manager and Responsible Individual, ensuring excellence, safety, and Ofsted compliance.
What Youll Bring
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven leadership and management experience in a residential childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, Ofsted inspections, and Regulation 44
- Excellent people management, communication, and decision-making skills
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to complete within 18 months)
