Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
- Supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Supporting children's emotional, social, and physical development through personalised care
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Assisting with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Managing administrative tasks related to child records and activity documentation
- Leading by example to foster a team-oriented atmosphere within the nursery setting
- Contributing to the ongoing development of nursery programmes and policies
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in childcare management or supervisory roles is advantageous
