Background
TRC Contracts Ltd is a medium sized business based in Market Harborough, although working throughout the UK, within the construction industry. TRC specialises in timber windows, dealing with restoration of existing and installation of new products, predominantly within the commercial sector.
General Role Requirements
A TRC Site Manager must interpret construction drawings and technical plans, plan, supervise, monitor and report as required during the construction phase of the refurbishment of residential, commercial or industrial property in new, aged and heritage buildings, such as schools, accommodation, hospitals, and government buildings.
A lot of TRC jobs are in London so regular travel there must be expected. This is position is not resident on one site and the Site Manager will be expected to cover multiple jobs.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Reporting directly to a Contracts Manager the Site Managers main job responsibilities are as follows. This is not an exhaustive list :
· Travelling to and working on sites throughout the UK
· Ensure TRC policies and procedures are adhered to and actioned as required.
· Plan, organize and manage day-to-day site operations.
· Coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
· Ensure projects are completed according to design specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
· Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site.
· Manage schedules, resources, and budgets effectively.
· Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and resolve issues.
· Provide the TRC QS with all the information required to submit payment applications and variations
· Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
· Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
· Address and resolve any conflicts or delays quickly and effectively.
· Have knowledge of and comply with general site and trade specific health and safety requirements.
· Liaise with the TRC Contracts Manager in regards, but not limited to:
o The progress of the job
o Any material requirements
Skills Required
· Attention to detail - take accurate measurements and request the correct materials.
· Problem solving – adjust and propose alternative plans, in consultation with the Contracts Manager, to changing site / work conditions
· Communication and teamwork - communicate well with clients site staff, other TRC employees and sub-contractors, and work positively as part of teams. It is essential that all communications are clear and understood.
· Strength and stamina - the role requires climbing ladders or scaffolding so physical stamina to suit is required.
· Organisation and time management – be able to allocate sufficient time to complete each stage of a project, monitor its progress and request materials from the Contracts Manager
· Driving – the role will include visiting multiple sites throughout the UK so a driving license is essential.

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager, or similar role.
· Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations.
· Relevant certifications in construction management or site supervision preferred.
· Relevant CSCS card
· SSSTS
Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
