Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Motor Trade Branch Manager to lead our new branch. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of motor trade operations, and technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair. This role offers an excellent opportunity to oversee daily operations, drive business growth, coach and mentor a team of technicians and ensure exceptional customer service within a fast paced customer focused environment.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth workflow from booking in vehicles to identifying work required to work completion
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technicians and support personnel
- Oversee vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Maintain inventory levels of parts and tools, including consumable items and processing returns accordingly
- Process parts inventory and allocate accordingly to jobs
- Identify, price and sell highlighted work to customers
- Update customers regularly with updates on their vehicles
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all activities in the workshop
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners to foster loyalty and growth
- Reconcile daily sales/purchase ledger and communicate these to senior management
- Proven experience in the motor trade industry with a strong understanding of vehicle repairs and servicing
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for overseeing technical operations effectively
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team and drive results
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and team members
