The role of Technical Manager:
- Leading technical projects across temperature-controlled packaging and specialist material product ranges
- Supporting product development, testing, trials, and certification activities
- Solving technical product performance and material application challenges
- Working closely with production to resolve manufacturing and process issues
- Managing technical compliance including UKCA, BBA, and wider certification requirements
- Driving innovation, product improvements, and new product introduction projects
- Working closely with senior leadership, Production, and Operations
The ideal Technical Manager:
- Degree qualified in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, or similar scientific discipline
- Experience within technical, product development, or R&D-focused manufacturing environments
- Understanding of specialist materials, polymers, membranes, or temperature-controlled packaging is advantageous
- Commercially aware with excellent organisation and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable operating within a busy SME-style manufacturing environment
