Maintenance Engineer – Welfare Units
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate
About the Role
Our client, a leading provider of welfare accommodation and site equipment, is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a fleet of welfare units, ensuring they are safe, compliant and ready for hire. This role involves both preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis, with occasional breakdown attendance when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain welfare units and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintain generators, heating, lighting, water and waste systems.
- Carry out pre-hire inspections and general cabin repairs.
- Complete servicing records and ensure equipment meets safety standards.
- Attend breakdowns when required.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining welfare units, generators, portable accommodation or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
