Due to continued growth and increasing numbers across Kidspace Childcare, we are excited to be expanding our team and have opportunities available for qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioners.
We have both full-time and part-time positions available, making this a great opportunity whether you are looking for a full working week or hours that fit around other commitments.
We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable practitioners who genuinely enjoy working with young children and want to be part of a friendly and supportive childcare team.
About the Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care, learning and experiences for the children in our setting.
You will work alongside the wider nursery team to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure and confident to learn and explore.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care and education for children in line with the EYFS
- Planning and delivering engaging, purposeful activities based around children's interests and developmental needs
- Supporting children's learning and development through play and everyday experiences
- Building warm, positive and secure relationships with children
- Observing children's development and contributing to their learning journey and next steps
- Supporting children with additional needs and adapting activities where required
- Building positive and professional relationships with parents and carers
- Working closely with colleagues as part of a supportive team
- Supporting daily routines including meals, snacks, nappy changing, toileting and sleep
- Maintaining a clean, organised and stimulating learning environment
- Helping to prepare and maintain inviting areas and resources for children
- Supporting nursery events, activities and special occasions
- Following all safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and nursery policies
- Being vigilant and proactive in safeguarding children at all times
- Completing relevant paperwork and records accurately
- Attending staff meetings, training and professional development as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- Experience of working with children in an early years or nursery environment
- A good understanding of the EYFS
- A sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- A caring, patient and positive approach
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliability, professionalism and a genuine passion for working with children
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid
- Previous experience working with children with SEND
- Additional early years training or qualifications
- Driving licence
