Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Help with serving meals during busy periods and assist in catering events as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a background in catering or restaurant experience being highly desirable.
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are essential.
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is required.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
