This is a great opportunity for an experienced gardener to join our established garden maintenance company and become part of our friendly team. You'll be part of a team working in domestic gardens and commercial grounds. You will need to ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and tidy and machinery is well maintained.
The ideal candidate needs to have a genuine interest in plants and gardening. You will need to enjoy working outdoors in all weathers.
Essential:
- Basic knowledge of plants and weeds, or willing to learn
- Horticultural qualification or prior gardening experience
- Knowledge of general maintenance of gardens and grounds
- Cultivating and tending plant beds and borders such as pruning, hoeing and weed control
- Experience of equipment and machinery for: strimming, mowing, leaf blowing and hedge cutting
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Candidate knowledge/skills/experience/qualities:
- PA1/PA5 spraying licence desirable
- Experience towing a trailer
- Cooperative and enthusiastic
- Confident communicating with clients and assisting with queries
- Maintains a high standard of work
- Conscientious, organised and with good time management
- Keen to develop in their role and undertake training
Pay: £28,500.00-£31,500.00 per year
