Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Roof systems, including slate and tiles roofs and flat roofs. The knowledge to carry out installation, overlaying, maintenance, and repair tasks effectively. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within maintenance, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Arrive on time to appointments and jobs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialised instruments to complete tasks efficiently
- Work off ladders and scaffolds safely
- Conduct visual inspections
- tile and slate replacement, cement works and re-bedding hips ad ridges, roof windows, roof lights, felt, Liquid Plastic and other flat roof systems, leadwork, gutter cleaning, fascias and soffits - all or any these are desired.
- Ensure all work is done to a high standard
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Skills
- Ability find defects causing leaks
- Good installation and repair knowledge
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in installation and maintenance tasks
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting purposes
- Clean and presentable
