Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant to support the daily needs of a busy childminding house and ensure a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a family’s well-being while developing your skills in childcare and teaching.The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and passionate about creating positive experiences for children through attentive care and engaging activities. Fluency in English is required, as well must be Bulgarian speaker. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transporting children to school and activities.
- Support the children’s daily routines, including meal preparation, homework help, and bedtime routines, personal hygiene.
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote learning and development
- Provide attentive childcare, ensuring safety and emotional support at all times
- Help with light household tasks related to children’s needs, such as organizing toys or general cleaning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates and any concerns about the children’s well-being
- Foster a positive environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social skills
Skills
- Background in teaching or tutoring children to support their educational growth is not essential, training will be provided
- Previous nannying or childcare experience demonstrating reliability and compassion
- Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bulgarian is a must
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a warm, caring attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and family needs
