Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in setting and operating CNC machinery. This role involves precision machining of components, ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols. The successful applicant will be proficient in setting and operating CNC lathes, interpreting technical drawings and inspecting machined components. CNC turning experience essential. Machining a mixed variety of components and materials on new, state of the art equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to specifications.
- Program and set CNC lathes - Fanuc control (training available if required)
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD designs.
- Use hand tools and power tools for finishing processes as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate turning centers and understand tooling requirements.
- Experience with sub-spindle lathes is advantageous but not essential.
- Competence in operating varying industrial equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
