With the take over of the Business and new Directors, we at Pathfinder Homes are growing and now looking to take on a Painter.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint
and other finishes to enhance the appearance and protection of buildings, walls, and other surfaces.
The candidate should possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. -
- Measure, cut, and hang wallpaper with precision.
- Protect work areas and furnishings during application.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to client specifications and company standards.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. - Collaborate with team members to ensure project success.
- Identify and resolve surface imperfections before painting.
- Ensuring quality standards are achieved and accountability for signing QC books.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members.
- Proficiency in painting techniques, including preparation, application, and finishing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
- Attention to detail with a creative mindset that embraces innovative decorating solutions.
Experience / Certification
- NVQ LVL 2 Painting and Decorating / Time Served
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
